Campfire concerts are occasions for our community to support artists we believe in, who are doing valuable work in our society and have important messages to share. They’re intimate evenings of music and storytelling in a soft studio setting where audiences and artists get to connect in unique ways.
When: Saturday May 18th 2019.
Time: 7.15 for a 7.30pm start, finish at 9.10pm (duration 70 mins).
Where: Midnightsky, Studio 2, 101 Victoria Street, Fitzroy (very close to the corner of Brunswick Street and Johnston Street).
The Concert: Karen is a long-time member of the Campfire community with a lifetime of experience in singing and performance. In this concert she creates a song balm - a soft space to hold us through the twists and turns of life. It’s a performance as much as it is a healing and storytelling space where Karen guides us gently back to ourselves. Accompanied by Michael Kokinos on guitar and harp and drawing on a repertoire that incorporates indigenous song, she reminds us of our connection to country, always there for us when we are ready to listen.
Campfire in association with Wiilpa present Song Balm with Karen Knowles.
