Tonight my friend Gar and I ran a Campfire in Sydney.
It was a part of the Centre for Sustainable Leadership's Future Makers Festival and was held at the National Centre for Indigenous Leadership.
A pretty remarkable night transformed into something else again when the Aunty in Residence at the centre gave Campfire her blessing.
To be thanked like that. To be encouraged to keep doing this thing by someone so connected to the Indigenous Australian history, that felt like something else altogether.
Thanks Self. Thanks for hanging in there. Thanks for doing the things you've done to keep the fires burning.
