The fun of working hard. Drawing Luke Hockley.
Working hard is fun.
I often tell myself the opposite. Which means I get all tight. I hold my breath. I tighten my arms and shoulders and head and neck and probably everywhere else. It becomes uncomfortable.
Because I tell myself that this is how it has to be if I am going to work hard.
But it doesn’t.
Working with focus and to a timeframe can be light handed and playful and full of joy and breath.
I won’t end up so sore/tired/stressed about it all.
And I will still get lots done.
With any luck I might even feel satisfied and ready for a big sleep.
Love
Luke
