The weight of my expectations. Drawing Luke Hockley.

Dear Self,

The weight of my own expectations weighs upon my morning.

Wanting things, not wanting things.

Thinking things are bad, when they are not.

Wanting change, when change is inevitable.

Viewing the everyday as a problem.

Thinking too much about things that don’t need to be thought about.

Creating my own barriers.

Pouring water on the dirt and then complaining about the mud.

Making it harder than it needs to be.

Believing my own unhelpful stories.

Waiting for someone to rescue me.

Waiting for someone to tell me what to do next.

Waiting for someone to show me how to punch my way out of this wet paper bag.

Knowing all of this can shift in the blink of an eye.

So, come on…blink why don’t you.

Buying some stamp money is a way to say thanks. A way to show your love and appreciation for the things I make and share.
