Dear Self,

What is it?

I know there is something you need to tell me, or something specific you need me to do, or something I need to say to someone…

Just tell me.

Whenever I find myself waking up every day so incredibly early that it is still night time then I know that there is something going on.

I’d like to nip this one in the bud.

It’s this Fringe show isn’t it?

I know, I know the to do list is as long as my arm.

But remember we promised that this show was not about getting stressed and doing all that old fashioned ‘performance’ stuff.

We just want to share some of our letters about friendship with people in order to inspire them to reflect upon their own experiences with friendship.

That’s it.

So the merchandise, the website, the perfecting singing, the online sales, the memorising bits, the perfect space, the sellout season, the cups of tea for everyone on arrival…all that is amazing and maybe it will happen but it all comes second.

Sit some people in a room.

Make them comfortable.

Share with them some stories (that you already have written down).

Thank them for coming.

That’s it.

Just do that.

All the other stuff will come if it is meant to come.
