This is what I’ve got.
I could spend a lot of time wishing and hoping for myself to be different…but here I am, this is me.
Could I love this?
Rather than wish I was something else?
I will change. Based on the decisions I make and the actions I take.
But I have to start from here. I can’t start from anywhere but here.
If I don’t love and accept this version of me then I suspect any change I make will be like painting over a dirty wall. It’ll look good for a while…but eventually the new paint won’t stick and will start to peel off and reveal the mess that it was built upon.
